I am currently in the process of thinking of starting a new website. I wanted to create a new domain name and thought of fightforfreedomandtruth.com. However, I am reluctant to use this name because of the implications which obviously come the word fight. When I mean fight, I do not mean "Grab your torch and pitch forks!" What I do mean is that one should be willing to fight for what one believes in. That does not mean bloodshed. I do not glory in bloodshed, nor will I ever. Words have a much stronger message behind them. Especially when we are not scrutinizing what was exactly meant by what has been spoken. I consider most people intelligent enough to come to an understanding of what the message was from the words spoken, rather than the necessity of being "Politically Correct" all the time. One example I give of this, is the idea that we are not suppose to call the Swine flu the Swine flu. Why? Are we going to hurt the feelings of the pigs? Or is it a much more sophisticated response, that somehow the people that got the flu in the first place happen to live around pigs, therefore it would be an insult to them if we called it the Swine Flu? It doesn't make sense.
I am drawing closer and closer to being moved to action against the politicians. I do not single out any politicians. Rather, I want to look at the facts and look at the truth. This country which we call the United States, was founded upon the idea of Representation. We went to war against Great Britain because they were not being fair, they were not listening to what is being spoken. Becuase of this, the people in America felt it necessary to revolt and the Declaration of Independence was signed and the revolution began. Where is our voice now? We elected the politicians into office, but are they doing the job that WE hired them to do? Have we forgotten that WE pay them? Have we forgotten that THEY work for US? and not the otherway around. I believe that there is a power struggle between the politians and the little guys. Unfortunately, the country can only go down one path. We are at the crossroads right now and the driver has already chosen the way to go, are we going to stand by and watch as he makes this country into the very country we revolted against during the founding of this great Nation? Or are we going to speak up and become a voice. If there are enough people talking, the politicians will have no other choice than to side with the people. But, unfortunately Napoleon was right when he claimed to control the masses with bread and circuses.
